Shreveport is one of the largest cities in Louisiana, a large commercial city packed with business and companies, Shreveport also has a diverse and thriving scene that is welcoming to members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Shreveport's gay community is growing and, although the city does not have many LGBTQ+ specific businesses, those it does have are popular with the local community along with its vast selection of gay friendly business offerings that range from bars to restaurants and art galleries to social events, including an annual Shreveport Gay Pride that draws visitors from across Louisiana and the country.

Downtown Shreveport is usually where you will find many of the local gay community members in the city, packed into many of the cities well established bars, clubs and other nightlife venues that are welcoming to the LGBTQ+ community in the city of Shreveport.
